About

Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Dennis Zanatta is an award winning Director of Photography with over 15 years of experience in the film and television industry. Dennis received his MFA in Cinematography from the prestigious American Film Institute and is a member of the Brazilian Society of Cinematographers, ABC. 

In 2016, Dennis was selected to take part of the Kyoto Filmmakers Lab in Japan, and the following year he participated in LA’s Film Independent’s signature diversity program: Project Involve, where he shot “Suitable,” a short film currently on HBO. He recently won the Best Cinematography Award at the Indie Series Awards for his work on the narrative web series “In Absentia.” 

Dennis currently lives in Los Angeles. He is a native Portuguese speaker, fluent in Spanish and English. Having grown up in the largest city of South America, he brings a unique vision to every story he portrays and can deliver a unique style for each project. He is experienced in multiple genres: narrative, commercials, music videos, documentaries and promos.
